Tackle Box is located in the foothills of Tennessee`s "GreatSmokyMountains".
We are just 15 minutes from the bustling towns of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and 5 minutes from Douglas Lake. Take Hwy. 338 North to Boat Launch Rd. (about 4 1/2 miles) turn right. We are the first business on the right.

Douglas Lake is located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Formed from the French Broad Rivers, consist of 30,400 acres of water surface and 555 miles of shoreline. Douglas Lake offers many secluded coves and hollows to enjoy, never gives you that over-crowed feeling. The best thing about Douglas Lake's location is its close proximity to the action packed attractions of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Douglas Lake will accommodate nearly any size boat class.
Douglas Lake provides fishermen with the hefty catches of Sauger, (Feb-March) in the river from Hwy 25 bridge upstream. Largemouth, (April-May), Crappie, (Usually March-May) A honeycomb of wide, shallow embayments attract the crappie in huge numbers during the spring spawning season, occasionally earlier. Excellent fishing. White Bass, (Feb-March), mid April in the headwaters. Bluegill, (April-Oct.).
Douglas Headwater Campground: 53 sites located at Douglas Dam, no reservations. Open from April-October. Restroom facilities, adjacent to free public boat launching ramp and swimming beach. Free picnic area nearby with shelter.
